QUARSHIE HOSTED BY NEW YORK GIANTS Michael Quarshie participated in a program designed to welcome area college prospects to the NFL that was hosted by the New York Giants at Giants Stadium on Jan. 19. Quarshie and about 30 other prospects met the Giants’ coaches and learned about the team’s plans for April’s NFL Draft. “This was their first look at some of us,” Quarshie said. “They sized us up and took our measurements. And we handed them our game tapes.” Quarshie, a defensive lineman who graduated from Columbia University in December, said there were about 12 other defensive linemen at the event. He was one of only two to be invited back to Giants Stadium for an individual workout with the team on April 8. |
